Help us write the Design Hero Manifesto
Welcome to a book project in development. You're invited to follow us along as we develop a new book that offers a wiser and healthier way to think about what great designers really do.
For years Bryan Zug and I have been fascinated by the question: we have so many talented designers, yet why is the world often so disappointing? What is it about design culture, or how organizations work, that holds designers back? Who are our design heroes and how do their examples help or hurt us?
We’re writing a book to share what we’ve learned and want you to be involved as we go. The book is called the Design Hero Manifesto.
We are doing a live Zoom to share ideas from the book and discuss them with you on Tue June 28th 6:30pm PST (register at the link).
If you’re not sure what we mean by the word designer, don’t worry. If you work to understand people and try to make the world better, this is for you. Maybe you call it UX, UI, ethnography, content, graphic design, user research or some other term we haven’t heard yet. You’re welcome here.
We will also teach about the book-writing process for those who want to learn how it’s done.
If this sounds interesting please subscribe and spread the word.
